PLASA is the lead professional body for the specialists who supply technologies, services and expertise to the highly diverse entertainment, production and events industries. It looks after the interests of a large commercial membership, influences the business practices adopted by the industry and is dedicated to improving standards. With over 500 members worldwide, it is one of the largest trade communities in the industry, contributing to a market worth £10.5billion. In recent years, the membership has broadened to include designers and consultants, as well as students.
An increasingly multi-faceted organisation, the Association is investing in a broader range of member services than ever before and also runs successful media and events arms, responsible for the industry-leading magazines Lighting&Sound International and Lighting&Sound America and the main event for the sector, the PLASA Show.
