ZFX is one of only two flying effects companies that manufacture everything in–house including custom–built flying harnesses. Custom harnesses can be made for your specific application and performer–and they can be made to fit within a costume.
“Others” buy generic harnesses created for the film and stunt industry. They may work well for motion pictures or videos that can be digitally edited. However, they are not fit for the needs of live productions and are not designed for easy and discrete hookup in front of a live audience.
In addition, comfort is of huge importance while wearing a flying harness for a two-hour performance. Stunt harnesses are simply not made for long periods of wear or singing when your performer needs to hit that high note.
