About Teqniqal Systems
- As a Theatre Consultant, we are many things to many people. It is difficult to condense the myriad of disciplines involved in our services into a simple description or phrase. And when we do, it’s not always as black and white as one would like.
A Theatre Consultant is charged with making the performance space, and all the systems in it, work together as a homogeneous unit. We are sometimes called-in to act as referee, and sometimes the one needing a referee. As in any design process, the project goals and constraints must be identified and design decisions made. It is a careful balancing act to coordinate and satisfy the competing interests of architecture, construction, art, and engineering.
Regardless of who our contract is with, we ultimately hold our responsibility to those that will have to operate and maintain the facility — they must have systems that are practical, safe, and functional.
